Recurring drainage blockage (Center)

After heavy rain, street sections near streets 42–44 pool with water for hours; sewer smell reported by households.

Opened 4 February 2026 · Updated 10 August 2026

What is wrong

Drainage lines serving parts of the Center zone clog repeatedly. Standing water after rain and intermittent sewer odour affect homes and pedestrian paths.

What happened

Residents documented flooding dates with photos shared to the zone group. Maintenance Lead compiled a map of choke points and asked management for desilting. One partial clear was done on a single stretch; neighbouring lines remain blocked. Further written follow-ups have not produced a society-wide clearance schedule.

  1. First rain flooding reports

Multiple households reported knee-deep pooling near streets 42–44.

  2. Mapped choke points

Maintenance team recorded manhole locations that overflowed first.

  3. Partial desilting

One stretch was cleared; adjacent lines still back up in later rains.

  4. Awaiting full clearance plan

Community still waiting for a documented plan covering the remaining choke points.
